In 1993 several families of the Reformed persuasion started to meet together for prayer and Bible study in a home. Others attended a small Southern Baptist Church including Pastor Jeff Smith who was Pastor of that Southern Baptist Church. A few months later Pastor Smith stepped down as pastor.

February 27, 1994, Pastor Smith was asked to pastor several families that met in an elementary school.

In May, when our contract ran out with the school, God gave us an abandoned Nursery which we rented with gracious terms for the next 5 years. We bought chairs, and arranged for all the "necessary things" for a church building since we had relatively free use of the building. The following February, with help of The Reformed Baptist Church of Grand Rapids, MI, we constituted with 12 members.

Since then, we have grown to over 40 members. In March 2000, we purchased, with the help of several sister churches, a building from a church that had gone the way of all flesh and disbanded. We currently have approximately 75 - 80 in attendance.
